If I could ride/drive/fly anything past, present or future, I would go for riding a Saturn V. They say it was brutal compared to a lot of rockets. Not the crack you get from solid rockets, but lots of vibration and a feel of raw power. Must have been amazing.

If you can find it, watch Being Neil Armstrong . It’s utterly fascinating.

I remember hearing an account from one of the astronauts who rode Saturn V describing how, just before launch, there was the opening of a valve and the astronaut described hearing “gah-gah-gah...” of some rocket fuel ingredient being allowed to flow so that the inignition sequence could happen. I can’t say I would share your interest in riding one of those.

I can hear my fuel pump too before I start the car.

The had to spool up the turbo pumps prior to ignition. The thing burned 3357 gallons of fuel/oxidizer a second at lift off. You will hear the pumps!

I can just imagine how wrecked I would get riding that thing. I get really bad motion sickness. Like reading on an airplane makes me queasy, a long day of autocross gets me feeling I'll, and anything on the water is damn near deadly. Would be Hella fun to try though!

That’s a lot of fuel. Per second. Yikes.
